How to Songs.

Posted by BraydenGD - August 30th, 2017

I unpublished my "How To" songs because I am worried they might get removed and I could get an audio ban.

I will republish them, if a moderator says I can republish them. They dont have the original song in the background. (I knew AdvyStyles' ones did, and that's probably the reason why his ones got removed.)

But someone also said How To songs can get removed if the How To track is pointless and trash.

So if a moderator is reading this, post if How To's are allowed at all, please.

If not I will post them on YouTube.

Moderator here. How do you do your 'How To' songs?
Most people tend to just post the original just like that, and try to get round the audio rules by saying it's a sort of audio meme, which is why they often get removed.

If yours is an actual cover, great -- but just be sure you have the right permissions.

I just memorise the track by heart and sing along pretending the original song is in my head. But if it sounds cringy, sorry, I try to make it "anti-cringy" with my best shot.
Or if it's with Soundtrap, I actually put the actual track and sing along to it in separate boxes and then I remove the original song from one of the boxes so it's just my voice.

If your "how to" tracks do not have the original as background nor they are plain ear-rape or annoying screaming, and as Troisnyx said , you have the right permissions, then technically those do not break any rules. But still, that kind of material it's very frowned upon by most NG users because of it's spamish nature. That kind of material will give you a bad rep in here.

That gives me an idea.
Why don't you try to learn some "beatboxing" and make a awesome cover with it ?
I haven't seen much of that around here.

I'll put that into consideration, I love beatboxing. I've been practicing it over the last month or so.
